Deepak Puri will present an introduction to OLAP using SQL Analysis Services and the benefits of using cubes in Business Intelligence solutions. In addition, Bryan will present details and discuss best-practices on the implementation of OLAP cube security. He will be using the AdventureWorks DW database and cube as the source data during the demonstration. After the presentation Deepak will host a Q&A session on OLAP cube development and share his insights, tips, and tricks regarding performance tuning, slowly changing dimensions, hierarchy design, and other OLAP topics.
