Howard Pincham will present the topic “IT Security and your SQL Server”. He will discuss basic information security concepts and demonstrate how some of the vulnerabilities found in typical SQL Server installations are exploited. The audience will learn how to protect all versions and editions from these exploits.

About SQL SIG
The SQL Server Special Interest Group (SQL SIG) was founded in a partnership between Bennett Adelson and Microsoft. The SQL SIG has become the forum for SQL Server collaboration and instruction from some of the brightest minds in the region. The organization was founded to provide enterprise SQL developers and DBA's the opportunity to collaborate and listen to leading experts discuss various topics within SQL Server. Members include a broad range of disciplines and experiences, from the experienced SQL DBA or developer to a novice on the Microsoft platform.
